Dispersed

In Dispersed, you play as a group of campers who have decided that paying to go camping is overrated, so instead you have chosen to go dispersed camping in the woods instead. However, what you may or may not know, is that there is a looming something in these woods, and it isn't happy your group is there. Will you live to see anything but this forest again?

Dispersed is a horror RPG inspired by horror stories told while camping in the woods, with gameplay inspired by Sleepaway.  Rather than having a game master that decides what happens, the entire playgroup decides together what would make things the most dramatic, each player coming up with scenarios as they roleplay as their characters and forge a story together. Of course, a role playing game is incomplete without some form of randomness, so Dispersed uses a TWISTS table that determines what might go wrong during a dangerous act using the roll of a single d20 die. These twists are abstract, though, so it gives the table room to talk about what each roll might mean.

Dispersed is available in two forms: both as a decorated single page RPG that explains the game and rules, or alternatively a page and a half on a standard document. Feel free to download either and print them as you see fit, and make sure to play some spooky atmospheric music when you sit down with your friends to play this spooky season.
